Custom Golf Trophies & Awards — Honor Every Tournament, Every Achievement

Golf trophies serve a wider range of events and award categories than almost any other sport, and the recognition program behind a well-run tournament is often what players remember longest. Club championship events call for traditional cup trophies and perpetual designs that carry a new champion's name each season, building a record of excellence that spans decades. Charity and corporate golf outings — scrambles, best ball, and captain's choice formats — typically award multiple categories per flight: Low Gross, Low Net, Closest to the Pin on multiple holes, Longest Drive, Longest Putt, and Most Honest Score, making it practical to recognize every foursome in the field. Junior golf programs and high school teams use participation trophies and placement awards to build the next generation of players, with golfer figurines in full swing poses the classic choice. Hole-in-one trophies occupy a category of their own — a permanent memorial to one of the rarest achievements in sports, engraved with the course name, hole number, yardage, and date, and displayed for years in a home or office. Women's leagues, senior leagues, and adult recreational programs each bring their own award traditions, from season-long points champions to weekly closest-to-the-pin winners. Crystal and acrylic awards are especially popular for corporate outings where a sleek, desk-worthy design matters as much as the recognition itself. Every golf trophy includes free engraving personalized with player names, tournament details, and achievement specifics.

Frequently Asked Questions About Golf Trophies

What trophy styles and sizes work best for different golf award categories?

Club championships and annual league champions deserve perpetual trophies or large cup trophies in the 14-inch to 20-inch range, built to carry a new engraved nameplate each season and display permanently in a clubhouse or trophy case. Tournament flight winners and low gross and low net honors are well served by 10-inch to 14-inch column or cup trophies that feel substantial at the awards ceremony. Hole-in-one trophies work best as dedicated designs featuring a ball holder or golfer figure, engraved with full achievement details, in the 8-inch to 12-inch range for lasting desktop or shelf display. Closest to the pin, longest drive, and other contest awards typically call for 6-inch to 10-inch trophies or acrylic and crystal awards that are practical for a one-day outing while still feeling like genuine recognition. Corporate and charity outings often favor crystal or acrylic awards for their professional appearance on an office desk.

What details should golf trophy engraving include?

Golf trophies benefit from more specific engraving than most other sports because the achievement details are what make the award meaningful years later. For tournament winners, include the player name, award category, tournament or event name, and year. For hole-in-one trophies, include the player name, course name, hole number, yardage, and date. Keep text concise and readable, prioritizing the most meaningful details when space is limited.

How many award categories should a golf tournament or outing include?

Most well-run golf tournaments award far more categories than players expect, which is a large part of what makes the post-round ceremony memorable. A typical 18-hole scramble or best ball outing awards 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place by flight, Closest to the Pin on two or three designated holes, Longest Drive for both men and women, and sometimes Longest Putt or Most Honest Score. Club championships and seasonal leagues add categories like Most Improved Handicap, Ladies Champion, Senior Champion, and a dedicated award for the outgoing champion. The more categories an event includes, the more players leave with something to show for the day, which drives participation in future years.
