-Q- What is the difference between engraving & imprinting?
-A- Engraving is "etched" into the engraving plate or medal. Typical engraving is light in appearance, but may optionally be darkened. Imprinting lettering is dark - imprinting is done by creating a rubber stamp that is printed on the engraving plate or medal. Since a rubber stamp needs to be made, this method requires a minimum quantity of 20 awards with the same imprinting. Imprinting is the most cost effective method of personalization for larger quantities (greater than 20).
-Q- Can I format my own engraving?
-A- Our Personalization Wizard allows you to format engraving most plaques. The wizard enables you to change the size, style and boldness of the lettering. Formatting is not available on most trophies since the engraving space is very limited. If you need special formatting on a larger trophy, please let us know.
-Q- I already have a file with the engraving instructions, can I use it?
-A- Yes, please send it to sales@trophycentral.com. Be sure to include your order #. If unavailable, include your name, e-mail, phone # and description of the order.

-A- This depends on the size and style of the trophy. Please enter any engraving instructions in the instructions/comments section found on the checkout page.
-Q- The online system limits the number of characters per line, what if I want more?
-A- The system is optimized for the maximum number of characters for a given item. Adding more characters will make the size of each character smaller and is not recommended. However, if you have a special need, just let us know by entering your special instructions on the instructions/comments section of the checkout page.
